Isontina Ambiente required the revamping of his existing rainy water SBR plant,  to increase its efficency. Rainy water to be treated comes from material (vegetals, wood, compost…) storage area, and its worse pollutant is lignin, a very slow-biodegradable compound, as well as organic matter and nitrogen.
In order to minimize construction works, CID transformed the actual SBR tank into a full biological oxidation tank, integrated with an ultrafiltration (MBR) stage. Automatic chemical dosing, together with automation solutions, allowed to find a stable biologic balance and an adequate pollutant removal.
